THE STORY

Vivai Salvan were born in 1975 by Cav. Enrico Salvan, father of Cav. Graziano Salvan current
owner of the nursery, in the center of Lusia, in the immediate vicinity of the local fruit and
vegetable market. The history of this company dates back to 1890 when Antonio Salvan began
his horticultural activity in the Barbona area, in the lower Padua area, with great commercial skill.
The helm of the company then passes to Cav. Armando Salvan and then to Cav. Enrico Salvan
who in the distant 60s began to rent land in the Lusia area for the cultivation of vegetables.

Subsequently, in the 70s, after having obtained numerous awards for the quality of the vegetables
produced, including the famous “white celery of Lusia” he selected, the business took a turn
towards nursery entrepreneurship and it is in these years that the Cav. Graziano Salvan supports
his father by bringing further business improvements including the expansion of a further two
hectares of greenhouses in the municipality of Fratta Polesine.

The nursery production makes use of the most modern sowing techniques to satisfy the paradigm
imposed by the market that requires a final product with an optimal quality-price ratio. The quality
and health of the product in the greenhouse are monitored on a daily basis by specialized
technicians who have also benefited from the experience gained in these years of nursery activity
by the owners, who were awarded in 1993 with the prestigious “Mercurio d’Oro”.
